DMA Field Trip and Clinic

DMA Field Trip and clinic is an innovative educational program focused on learning impressionist art.

Enjoy this developmental program that involves touring the Dallas Museum of Art exhibit, Impressionist Revolution: From Monet to Matisse, as well as learning impressionist art history and techniques during two, 2-hour classes at the WFC. This class is designed for ages 55 and up.

Explore Baseball

Tech Club - June

Tech Club a comprehensive, after-school, STEAM program. Knowledgeable instructors help students to become comfortable with technology in a fun approach that enhances learning in math, science, engineering, and the arts.

Program Information

Tech Club is open to boys and girls ages 7-12.
The cost is $150 For Woodway Residents and $170 for Non-Residents.
The class will meet on the following week: June 17th - June 21st.
Class meets 1:00 - 4:00 pm.
Class meets in the Whitehall Center at the Arboretum.

Basketball League 2024

Our basketball leagues are open to boys and girls in the following divisions:

5-6 Year Old Co-Ed
7-8 Year Old Girls
7-8 Year Old Boys
9-10 Year Old Girls
9-10 Year Old Boys
11-12 Year Old Girls
11-12 Year Old Boys

5-6 and 7-8 Years Old will play on a 7ft goal and use a 27.5-inch ball.
9-10 Years Old will play on a 9ft goal and will use a 28.5-inch ball.
11-12 Years Old will play on a 10ft goal and will use a 28.5-inch ball.

Season Schedule:

Practice will begin on June 3rd - June 29th.
Practice will be scheduled one day per week at the Family Center
Additional practices will be up to the coach and their determined location.

Games will be played on Monday - Thursday, and Saturday
Games will begin on Monday July 8th - August 31st.
One game per week
Make-up games will be scheduled as needed.

Cost:

$100 for Woodway Residents
$120 for Non-Woodway Residents

All divisions are non-competitive. There will be NO TRYOUTS for any division and all teams will be drafted by Woodway Family Center Staff. The draft will be held on May 29th.

All late registrations will be placed on a waitlist. The waitlist does not guarantee a spot.

Our programs thrive on volunteers, if you would like to volunteer to be a coach, assistant coach, or team manager, please indicate this during the registration process. All volunteers MUST pass a criminal background check before the season begins and attend a preseason meeting at the Family Center. During the draft process, staff will place the coach's child(ren) on their team, and we thank you in advance for investing in our young athletes! Woodway Family Center leagues DO NOT operate without the wonderful volunteer coaches! Please consider signing up as a head coach or assistant coach, we cannot do this without you. A mandatory coaches meeting will be on May 30th at 6:00pm at the Family Center.
