Explore Art Fall 2025

Our Explore Art Clinic is co-ed and broken down in the following sessions:

Session 1

Ages 5-8 (Parent and Child)
Session 1- November 3^rd, 10^th, 17^th, & 24^th
5:30-6:30pm

11/3 - Holiday cards - Give the gift of a handmade Thanksgiving, Christmas or Winter card. We will be using colored pencils - oil pastels

11/10 - Collage - Make a Winter scene using rice and various kinds of papers, along with oil pastels.

11/17 - Clay - Make a pumpkin or something of your own design.

11/24 - Paint your clay day!

Session 2

Ages 9-12
Clinic Dates - November 3rd, 10th, 17th, & 24th
7:00pm - 8:00pm

11/3 - One and Two point Perspective - Using a ruler, learn how to draw in one- and two-point perspective. We will be using pencils, colored pencils and oil pastels.

11/10 - Ornament/Sun Catcher - create your own transparent ornament or sun catcher with clear glue and liquid watercolors

11/17 - Clay - Sculpt a pumpkin, tree or dreidel for the holidays

11/24 - Paint your clay creations!

Cost:

$50 for Woodway Residents
$70 for Non-Woodway Residents

Winter Basketball 2025

Our basketball leagues are open to boys and girls in the following divisions (Divisions subject to change based on registration numbers):

5-6 Year Old Co-Ed
7-8 Year Old Girls
7-8 Year Old Boys
9-10 Year Old Girls
9-10 Year Old Boys
11-12 Year Old Girls
11-12 Year Old Boys

5-6 and 7-8 Years Old will play on a 7ft goal and use a 27.5-inch ball.
9-10 Years Old will play on a 9ft goal and will use a 28.5-inch ball.
11-12 Years Old will play on a 10ft goal and will use a 28.5-inch ball.

Season Schedule:

Registration will run from October 1st to November 14th.
Player assessments: Saturday, November 15th
Coaches meeting will be held on Monday, November 17th from 6:00pm to 7:30pm.
Practices will begin the week of December 1-6 and conclude the week of January 5-10.
Practice will be scheduled one day per week at the Family Center
Additional practices will be up to the coach and their determined location.
There will not be any practices or games scheduled the week of Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Years Eve/Day.

Games will begin the week of January 12-17 & conclude the week of March 9-14.
One game per week (subject to change based on participant numbers)
Make-up games will be scheduled as needed.

Cost:

$100 for Woodway Residents
$120 for Non-Woodway Residents

All divisions are non-competitive. There will be a SKILLS ASSESSMENT for each division and all teams will be drafted by the VOLUNTEER COACHES. The draft will be held on November 17th along with the coaches meeting.

All late registrations will be placed on a waitlist. The waitlist does not guarantee a spot.

Our programs thrive on volunteers, if you would like to volunteer to be a coach, assistant coach, or team manager, please indicate this during the registration process. All volunteers MUST pass a criminal background check before the season begins and attend a preseason meeting at the Family Center. During the draft process, staff will place the coach's child(ren) on their team, and we thank you in advance for investing in our young athletes! Woodway Family Center leagues DO NOT operate without the wonderful volunteer coaches! Please consider signing up as a head coach or assistant coach, we cannot do this without you. A mandatory coaches meeting will be November 21st at the Family Center.
